Last month’s sales figures for the automakers show some very interesting facts about the changing landscape of America. As you might guess, sales of the big trucks were the worse. The best selling vehicle in the U.S. for the past 26 years in a row had been the Ford F-series pick-ups and sales volumes plummeted a whopping 40%. Is this the end of a true American icon of the road?
On the local scene, sales of Toyota trucks did just as poorly, sliding 38.9% for the period. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to build the things if no one is going to buy them. So it might be "back to the drawing board" for the guys at Blue Springs.
