Throw traitor Lieberman to the sharks
Let him caucus with the Republicans and even vote with them if he likes. The Dems aren’t going to get to the magic 60 number anyway, with or without him. Yes, let him vote with the Republicans and see where that gets him with the good people of Connecticut who voted for Obama, 60% to McCain’s 39%. Maybe they will elect a real Democrat next cycle. Many of them thought they were doing just that when they pulled the lever for him in the first place.
I could understand, possibly, the idea of supporting the opposing party’s candidate but to go out and publicly campaign for that party’s candidate is entirely inexcusable. To untruthfully smear your own party’s candidate is even further beyond the inexcusable. This jerk has been a bur under the saddle of the Dems for quite some time and the time has come to remove it completely and permanently.
