“A South Georgia peanut butter plant linked to a national salmonella outbreak failed to follow safe food practices when it found evidence of the bacteria in its products and still sold them, federal health officials said Tuesday. A Japanese business journal, the Nikkei, reported yesterday that Toyota is laying off 1000 workers in its plant in the UK. Today, Reuters is reporting the consideration of “thousands more” lay offs in the UK and US.
